It takes a village.

…to raise a startup

We have been lucky enough to start our journey in a growing ecosystem with plenty of opportunities for help and support. Here, we say a big THANK YOU to everyone who helped Antefil along its way!

2022

>>venture>> is Switzerland’s leading startup competition, supporting and empowering up-and-coming entrepreneurs and young innovators since 1997. For it’s 26th edition, the jury nominated Antefil as a finalist in the category industrials & engineering.

2022

JEC World is the globally leading composites tradeshow, exhibiting every spring in Paris as the must-go get-together for the industry. In 2022, they selected Antefil as a finalist for their Startup Booster competition, bringing us to a global stage for the first time.

2021-2022

The Gebert Rüf Stiftung awarded Antefil with a sought-after InnoBooster grant intended to accelerate the market entry of science-based deeptech startups and university spin-offs who are part of the Venture Kick initiative. The funded project is entitled “Microengineered Hybrid Fibres”.

2021

Throughout 2021, Antefil won all three support stages of the highly competitive Venture Kick initiative. Next to early-stage financing, the support includes participation at the program’s “Kickers Camps” and access to perhaps the largest network of investors, coaches, and general startup knowledge in Switzerland.

2021

The jury of the Swiss Sustainability Challenge (SSC) awarded Antefil with the second prize of the Pax Sustainability Award in the 2021 edition. The programme is an innovation competition supporting projects which contribute to environmental and social sustainability.

2021

The team which invented the core technology of Antefil’s microengineered hybrid fibres was awarded with ETH Zurich’s Spark Award for the most promising patent filing in the preceding year. The 2021 edition also marked the tenth anniversary of this prestigious award.

2020-2021

Venturelab designs and operates Swiss startup programs, such as the Venture Kick initiative, Innosuisse Start-up Trainings and many more. Antefil’s team has participated in many of their trainings and coachings on the basis of competitive applications.

2020-2021

Innosuisse is the Swiss Innovation Agency, promoting science-based innovation in the interest of the economy and society in Switzerland. Next to the funding support awarded through the BRIDGE Proof of Concept grant, Antefil has received support via the agency’s Start-up Trainings – STARTUP CAMPUS and through their Start-up Coaching programme.

2020-2021

BRIDGE is a joint programme conducted by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and Innosuisse – the Swiss Innovation Agency. It offers funding opportunities to bridge the gap between basic research and science-based innovation. In 2020, the programme has awarded Antefil with their Proof of Concept grant.

2020-2021

In April 2020, Antefil Composite Tech started as a technology transfer project based at ETH Zurich, which supported the initial phase with their Pioneer Fellowship grant. The programme is funded through the ETH Foundation and its donors – among them is the BASF Foschungsstiftung Schweiz, which provided specific funding for Antefil’s grant.
